Here's a little treat for you minimalism lovers. And for those of you who want to see what true minimalism is. This lovely small home is designed by RCK Design for one of the most populated cities in the world, Tokyo, Japan. It's called Modern Zen Design House with Ecology.
Being forced to work with small plot, architects managed to design well this 120 sqm minimalist home and perfectly blend it with the urban surrounding. The house has simplistic volumes coupled with mute colors and clean materials, giving it a very zen-like atmosphere.
A photovoltaic power system is responsible for all the consumption of electric power within the house. The house also uses special windows to prevent curious viewers from the street to see the interiors of the house, but still allows abundant natural lighting to enter. The zen interior is “not about living in empty rooms or areas, but about creating true well-being for body and soul”, said architects from the RCK Design.
Not so long ago, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0 hit Fukushima and nearby areas including Tokyo, but the house which was under construction then suffered no damage which only proves how important is good engineering in that part of the world.
